BRITAIN should follow the example of Norway which enjoys a free trade agreement with the EU and which exports more per capita to the EU while not being burdened by membership.

We should seek to emulate Norway's happy position which, in contrast to Tory policy can be described as "trade with Europe but not run by Europe".

Europe yes, but we need to keep our distance if we wish to maintain both our worldwide influence and our independence.

Our independence means retaining our own currency. It may once again be our role to step into Europe to unscramble a federal nightmare in order to restore independence to individual nations.
