PAUL Pollard is set to return for Worcestershire Royals is their Norwich Union League Division Two clash against Sussex Sharks at Horsham tomorrow.
The former Nottinghamshire left-hander has been dogged by a niggling hamstring injury for the last six weeks, but is expected to pass a fitness test.
Pollard picked up the injury during his Gold Award winning performance in the Benson and Hedges Cup group clash against Northamptonshire at Kidderminster on April 30.
He was selected to play in the County Championship Division Two match against Derbyshire at New Road in mid-May but was not required to bat because of the wet weather.
The 32-year-old signalled his return to fitness earlier this week when he scored 74 for Worcestershire Development Xl in their seven wicket win over the Midland Club Conference at Kidderminster.
Two other players in contention for a place tomorrow are pacemen Chris Liptrot and Kabir Ali.
The corresponding match between the sides last season at New Road was abandoned because rain.
