COUNTY and national agencies are urging firms to help them in their fight to find work for Worcestershire's disabled.

The LETWORK Consortium was set up by a number of organisations, which all share information relating to employment for the disabled.

The Employment Service, Mencap, Remploy, Beacon Employment, County Enterprises and Worcestershire Community and Mental Health NHS Trust are part of the new body.

Database

A database of 250 employers countrywide is available to help the agencies match their clients' particular skills and abilities to specific jobs.

And many employers who have already used the scheme have benefited from the access to an untapped source of labour, which includes people with a wide variety of skills and abilities.

LETWORK is now seeking to add to the number of diverse employers, large or small, it can call on in manufacturing and service industries from all parts of the county.

Employers will benefit from a larger pool of labour at no cost and get free advice from disability employment professionals.
