WEST Malvern completed their Worcester & District Football League Division One season with mixed fortunes.

On the Saturday they beat Spetchley Harriers 8-1 goals coming from three for Mike Dean, two from Lewis Wray, one of which one consisted of a free kick from the halfway line, two goals from Rick Charley and one from Jamie Dean which was a 30 yard free kick.

On the Tuesday they lost 5-3 to Oak Apple. The West did not start playing football until they were three down at half time. In the second half they rallied and goals from Paul Parry, Tom Davis and Jamie Dean made the game respectable only for Richard Green to complete a hat trick for Oak Apple.

The season's leading goal scorers were Lee Tracey with 23 goals and Will Hardy with 21.

Although it was their first season in the First Division and due to the fact of players being injured and not a regular team they performed reasonably well.

The West are continuing their sponsorship with Amey who have provided a new set of kit for next season.

The players and club officials would also like to thank Duncan from the Nags Head for his kind hospitality over the season.
