I AM fed up with reading on the front page of the Evening News how parents do not want to send their children to The Elgar High School.
If these parents put as much energy into supporting the school as they do in pulling it apart, it would be one of better schools in Worcester.
My wife and I chose to send our three children to Elgar and my eldest daughter, after obtaining nine good GCSEs is now at the Sixth Form and will go to university this September.
My middle son is taking his GCSEs now and is expecting good results, having taken his maths a year early. My youngest daughter is currently in Year 8 and progressing well.
To support the school I have been a Parent Governor for five years and attend PTA events when possible.
So come on, buck up and do your bit as parents and support your local school and its teachers!
PETER FELLOWES,
Claines.
