A LONDON band is stopping off in Malvern as part of an international tour promoting a new album.

Praying For the Rain formed seven years ago and Harmony of Mind and Nature is their sixth album.

The group's vision comes from two brothers, Dominic and Vincenzo DeCicco, sons of Italian immigrants who are originally from Canada but now live in London.

Their music reflects the multi-cultural life of their urban landscape and uses acoustic instruments such as Tibetan bowls, didgeridoo, darabouka, flutes, violin, guitars and accordion.

Last year the band travelled to Algiers to take part in a Millennium festival, performed in Italy and at the Big Green Gathering (Europe's largest environmental festival) and at concerts in London.

On Saturday, June 16, they will be appearing at The Grove in Avenue Road from 8pm.

Tickets cost £7, £5 concessions, available from 01684 576359.
