Tom Poole then produced a hostile spell and Guy Cullen puzzled the batsmen but still no wickets as the visitors struggled to 29-1 at the end of the 14th over. Will Bayliss then removed the stubborn Jones and Wheeler was bowled by Ian Hughes but Richardson and Hands picked up the run rate until a well judged catch by Sean Jenkins gave Adam Croad a wicket. Carless joined Richardson to take the total to 59-4 off the allotted 20 overs.

After a quiet first two overs Ramblers' openers Adam Croad and Alistair Hall flayed Colwall's attack rushing to complete a ten wicket victory in just eight overs. Hall hit a distinguished 25 not out in his best innings for Ramblers with acting skipper Croad batting responsibly to reach 26 not out.

Ramblers remain unbeaten in the Under 13 league.

COLWALL U11 v Old Elizabethans U11

COLWALL under 11s played their first match at home this season on the Ghost Meadow.

The visitors batted first and were soon into their stride giving a lesson in good calling and running between the wickets. The score soon moved along before Christian Elsden's direct throw on the wicket accounted for the first OEs wicket. Undeterred by this the visitors went on to reach 275 with the loss of only one more wicket bowled by Elsden.

In reply the Colwall opening pair of Nicky Hall and Elsden got away to an excellent start and pushed the score along well. However the OEs then tightened their grip on the game with some accurate bowling and wickets started to fall. It was left to the last pair of Jed Hornyold and Cadan Pryor to try to win the game. Despite putting on 26 runs, the loss of a further wicket meant OEs were winners by 38 runs.
