IN a 40 over match at Mathon Court Abberley won the toss and elected to bat.
WEST MALVERN v ABBERLEY
After losing their first wicket a partnership between R Savory (24) and N Massey (26) took the score to 70 in the 19th over before four run outs, unusually all from the accurate arm of West Malvern captain James Blackshaw. This along with the restrictive bowling of Andy Llewellyn three for 14 off eight overs reduced Abberley to a low score of 127 all out in their final over.
West Malvern in reply after a steady start lost both openers on 24 runs and losing two more wickets soon after Abberley were back in the game until the selective batting of Richard Dudley (41no) and Alex Hall (40no) came together to form a match winning partnership of 81 to win by six wickets with nine overs to spare.
