FORMER MP Peter Temple-Morris will fight Labour's corner in the House of Lords, having accepted a peerage in the pre- election Resignation Honours List.
Mr Temple-Morris, soon to be Lord Temple-Morris, was the Conservative MP for the Leominster constituency for over two decades, before a shock defection to Tony Blair after Labour's 1997 landslide victory.
He did not contest the seat at yesterday's General Election.
He expects to take in seat in the Lords as early as next month.
