DETAILS of the Three Counties Summer Show in August are starting to emerge.

The event replaces this month's Three Counties Show, which had to be cancelled because of the foot and mouth crisis.

"It's not a farming show but a family show and we're confident that there will be something for everyone," said Chris Milne, chief executive of the Three Counties Agricultural Society.

The popular equestrian classes will be there, as will the showjumping, which is set to attract top international competitors. The main arena will include attractions such as the Flying Gunners motorcycle display team.

There will also be a music stage which, at the end of each day, will feature Legends, an international show of five pop/rock tribute acts currently doing the summer season at Blackpool. The two-hour show is free to ticket holders.

Tickets for the Three Counties Summer Show are £9 per person, or £20 for a family. Family tickets can be obtained for £16, if bought before August 6 on 01684 584924. The show is on August 17-19.
