CONCERNING the letter in the Malvern Gazette on June 1, I am sure society does not consider dogs more important than young people as a general premise.
However, in the context of the homeless one has to ask the question why are they in this position?
Generally speaking, I suspect, it is because of their inability to accept parental discipline, inability to accept personal responsibility and lack of desire to seek employment.
At the end of the day we are master of our own destiny and should not expect to be propped up by society.
I am an animal lover, they cannot help themselves and in the context of the comparison made I would always make them a priority.
