WORCESTER Rugby Club will play host to former World Cup champions South Africa for a mouth-watering clash in November.

The Springboks will travel to Sixways on November 28 for an encounter with a National League Divisions XV, four days before their Twickenham clash with England.

The match, kick-off 7.30pm, will see the cream of National One, Two and Three teams against South Africa who will spend two days training at the ground and will be based in the city for the game.

Ticket details will be announced in the next couple of weeks, but it is expected the capacity of Sixways will be increased to cater for the demand. Plans are already underway to erect a larger East Stand for the match.

Worcester's media manager Nicola Goodwin said: "It is a great honour to stage the game -- it will be the biggest we have ever had at Sixways.

"Everybody is very excited and the media interest is already substantial.

"We have hosted under-21 internationals before at Sixways but the South Africa match will be the biggest yet," she said.

Meanwhile, Laulala Langkilde returns to the Worcester side to face Bedford at Sixways in National League Division One on Saturday.

The Samoan centre missed Worcester's win at Manchester on Saturday due to a groin strain but returns to bolster the side.

Prop Andy Collins comes in for his first start of the season replacing Tony Windo while Alistair McLean makes way for Langkilde.

Nick Baxter makes his first Sixways start after bagging a try on his return to action at Manchester.
