At the annual meeting, the officers and committee were re-elected - chairman Graham Kiteley, vice-chair Von Stewart, secretary Gwen Jones, treasurer Bob Drew, committee Mike Holmes, Ann Norman and Alison Osborne.

In his report, Graham commented on events of the year, including a cello/piano recital given by Oliver Gledhill and Hisayo Shimizu, and the violin duo of Nick Fallowfield and Linda Rhodes and, more recently, Emma Cockbill making a return visit to entertain on the piano.

There have been guest presenters, such as Ronald Bleach, Brian Savage and Richard Phillips, and of course, many members' evenings of recorded music.

He spoke of coming events, which include pianists Janine Smith (September) and Duncan Honeybourne (October).

Tomorrow night the Trio Maggiore will entertain at Kidderminster Library, starting at 7.30pm. Michael Jones (piano), Dawn Gwilt (cello) and Howard Marshall (violin) will perform trios by Mendelssohn, Dvorak and Mozart.

Tickets will be available at the door.
