WORCESTER Warriors hit back from 14-0 down to clinch a notable 21-14 win over Bristol United at Sixways last night.
Ally McLean and Laulala Langkilde bagged first-half tries after Bristol took advantage of a sloppy opening period from the Warriors to bag two converted tries in the first 10 minutes. McLean and Langkilde's tries were converted by Tony Yapp and Worcester went into half-time level at 14-14.
Richard Denhardt's try after a forward drive midway through the second half and Yapp's conversion set up victory, sealed by dogged defending in the dying seconds.
Coach Adrian Skeggs said: "It was a very good win considering the start we had. We played a very solid 60 minutes of rugby and I was delighted with the way the side responded to going 14-0 down."
Denhardt and Richard Jarman will be tackling youngsters from Droitwich Rugby Club tonight in a coaching clinic. The sessions are at the Memorial Ground at 7pm and will concentrate on tackling.
