TO celebrate Women's Football Awareness Week, the Worcestershire Football Association, in partnership with Pershore High School and Wychavon District Council, are proud to announce they are hosting their first female soccer festival.
The one-day event will be held at Pershore High School on Saturday, June 23 and will open at 10.30am with the first competitive games commencing at 11am.
The day is aimed at all girls and women, aged between eight and 80 (!) in Worcestershire who already play or wish to have a go at football.
In addition to the tournament there will be coaching stations to improve existing and try out new skills.
Stalls selling everything needed to play, from shin pads to first aid kits will be there, along with refreshment kiosks.

The county association, in partnership with Droitwich High School and Wychavon DC, are also staging a coaching certificate course at Droitwich High School on June 30, July 1, 7, 8, 14 and 15 between 9am and 5.30pm.
The course is open to anyone over 17 years of age who wishes to become more committed to football coaching particularly of the seven to 14-year age group.
The cost of the course is £100 but a discount is available to representatives from clubs seeking Charter Club Status.
