PUPILS at a county school found out what it was like to live 2,000 years ago when they took part in a Roman Day on Tuesday.
Year Five and Six pupils at Bowbrook House School, at Peopleton, near Pershore, enjoyed practical demonstrations and activities and learnt about the lives of Roman people.
"It was very good - the children were very enthusiastic and it was a great day," said deputy head teacher Chris Allen.
Mr Allen said the day had really brought history to life for the pupils, who had been studying the Roman era in class.
"They learnt about all aspects of Roman life from different perspectives, from being a slave, to a legionnaire, to a member of the Roman senate or even an emperor," said Mr Allen.
"They also did some marching and simulated attack formations, as if in battle."
The day was conducted by Alex Davidson, who is based at Lunt Fort, a working Roman fort and museum near Coventry.
