NEIL Fletcher made the headlines once again as he hit yet another century for Cutnall Green in a Worcestershire County Cricket League fixture.

Fletcher figures prominently in the local batting honour charts after previous scores of 144 and 113 not out already this season.

But his fine 133 on Saturday could not prevent a Division Five victory for visiting Newland by five wickets.

Second-placed Chainwire also had their century-maker, Lee Stewart, who hit 109 against bottom-of-the-table Cleobury in Division Six.

Stewart helped his side to a winning draw, while Brintons are not far off after defeating Cookhill.

Meanwhile, Bridewell scored 224-7 to claim a Division Five victory over Worcester Corinthians.

But in third team cricket Chaddesley Corbett collapsed to 65 all out in response to Hanley Castle and Upton's 229-3.

Division Five: Cutnall Green 256-7 (6) (Neil Fletcher 133), Newland 257-5 (20); Worcester Corinthians 223-6 (7), Bridewell 224-7 (20) (M Mansfield 83no).

Division Six: Brintons 245-2 (24) (Alan Lockwood 96no, Andy Jones 66), Cookhill 205 (4) (Lee Waldron 4-46); Chainwire 245-2 (14) (Lee Stewart 109, R Tulley 49).

Third Teams Single: Hanley Castle/Upton 229-3 (24), Chaddesley Corbett 65 (1); Malvern Ramblers awarded a win over Cleobury who could not raise a side.
