ABOUT 60 years ago, Church Green was an island surrounded by three roads open to traffic, as can be seen in this picture loaned by Mrs F McCutcheon of Wordsworth Avenue, Headless Cross.
Mrs McCutcheon recently came across the old postcard while spring cleaning.
Church Green East, seen on the left of the photograph, is now pedestrianised.
Old pictures of Redditch can be sent to Julian Seva at the Advertiser and will be returned once used.
