DELIVERIES from Halfords nationwide headquarters at Redditch ground to a halt this week as striking drivers picketed the depot at Washford.
Grounded lorries filled the firm's car park after drivers walked out on Tuesday morning over a security dispute.
Shop steward Mr Ronald Cook said the drivers had walked out, after putting in one-and-half hours, in protest against non-consultation with their union, the Trades and General Workers Union, on the question of anti-theft security of lorries.
The employers, according to Mr Cook, have now told striking drivers they would not be paid for work done before the walk out on Tuesday and they would also lose their Bank Holiday Monday pay.
