EARLY on Census Day (April 29) my wife and I completed the form and by 10am I personally posted the official yellow envelope at the main post office box in Bromsgrove High Street.
On Sunday May 13 we had a visit from the enumerator asking us whether we had completed the census because it had not been received.
We have done everything expected of us, but now we feel guilty in that we have no proof of posting. It appears that we will have to complete a duplicate form, but where on earth does the lost mail get to?
Apparently, thousands of items go missing each week, so there must be a big pile of it somewhere.
Mr and Mrs Dales,
Littleheath Lane,
Lickey End,
Bromsgrove.
