I AM most concerned about the latest craze among the brain-dead of smashing alcopop or similar bottles.

I have been walking my dog in Droitwich Lido Park almost every day for the past ten years and I thought I had seen it all what with vandalism, fast food packaging everywhere and graffiti.

This trend is the most dangerous to anyone walking, especially children.

There is a solution. The manufacturers could package their products in safer containers, and retailers could stock only plastic bottles.

They would look just as unsightly when thrown about but at least it would be safer.

This does not only happen in the park. Everywhere you walk you come across broken glass.

There is a dedicated team of workers attempting to keep the park looking nice but it is fighting a losing battle, and our taxes are going to waste when the mindless morons get in there in the evenings.

If ever there was a need for more cameras this is it.

I notice that now Herriots Pool has been upgraded and made pleasant for the fishermen Wychavon District Council has installed some new notices about dogs and cleaning up after them and keeping them on leads.

The signs say nothing about fishermen taking care to clear up after themselves and not to discard lines and hooks that can cause such horrific injuries to wildlife.
