DREAMS are becoming reality in Salford Priors after the village received £264,997 from the National Lottery.
After an agonising wait the Salford Priors Memorial Hall Committee has been awarded the massive grant towards its building and refurbishment project.
The hall, now in its 50th year, will have a long-awaited new roof, an extension and a complete refit of all its facilities.
The Lottery Community Fund award is part of a £297,899 project.
The hall's management committee has worked for the last three-and-a-half years to design and fund its project.
A grant from Stratford Council will also support the project, which should be completed early in 2002 and marked with a grand opening event.
