GEORGE Flynn is married with two teenage children and has lived in Redditch for nearly 20 years.

He left school at 15 to help run the family business in Birmingham, which he still runs today.

A member of many conservation groups, his main interests are natural and English history.

Mr Flynn said he decided to put himself forward for the UK Independence Party because he was ''fed up with the other parties only telling the people half-truths and downright deception over the question of Europe''.

He added: ''I believe I am the only true democratic candidate representing Redditch in these elections.

''Both Conservative and Labour in office have continued to undermine our national interests by signing up to the dismantlement of our rights and institutions in the name of EU harmonisation.

''The Liberals want to go at an even faster pace and absorb us into a federal Europe without the consent of the people. The people of Redditch should be made aware that our very democracy is being taken away by stealth.''

Mr Flynn said: ''Britain can thrive outside the EU and preserve our democratic independence. Our democracy is too precious to be traded away by career politicians.

''Britain's largest trading partner is the USA. The pound is linked more closely to the dollar than the sickly euro, Britain has the fourth largest economy in the world, more overseas investment flows to Britain than all of the other EU countries put together.

''Britain is an international global player so why sacrifice all this to be part of a foreign superstate?''
