COOKHILL lost their Worcester Six match by 40 runs at Brintons.
Batting first on a pitch which gave nothing to the bowlers, Brintons set a difficult target of 246 off 45 overs, losing only two wickets along the way.
Cookhill started badly, losing the first five wickets cheaply.
The middle order rallied to get back into the game with significant contributions from Richard McCracken (50), Mark Franklin (39) and Mick Hill (27) but fell 41 runs short at a final total of 205 all out.
Result: Cookhill 4 points, Brintons 24.
