A TEENAGE golfer has achieved a hole-in-one at Worcester's Perdiswell Park Golf Club.
Elgar High School pupil, Neil Doherty, aged 14, achieved the momentous feat on the 152-yard par three 15th hole.
"I ripped the ball and it looked as though it had pitched and gone over the bank," he said.
"We were looking there and one of my playing partners said I should check the hole.
"When I looked the ball was in the hole. I was shocked, I didn't know what to say.
"It's the first time I've ever had a hole-in-one."
But the budding Tiger Woods was brought crashing down to earth minutes later when he promptly lost the precious ball on the next hole.
The 28-handicapper only joined the club at the start of the year but his exploits are set to spur him on.
"It has really encouraged me to play more," said Neil.
