FOLKS who want the town's canals reopened are organising their biggest fundraising bash ever - culminating with a wet and wild water festival.
Droitwich Canals Trust is planning to collect bags of cash at this year's four-day beer and wine festival.
The fun begins on Thursday June 14 and events will be based at the Railway Inn, off Kidderminster Road.
Attractions will include an Irish night, dancing, a jazz concert, pig roast and a growers' market, in Vines Park.
The weekend will finish with a water festival boasting a duck race, a bike that rides on water and a raft race.
Teams are required for the canal basin competition and entrance is £10.
Winners will get 11 gallons of their favourite beer.
Money raised will go towards a £100,000 project to restore three locks at Hanbury Wharf.
Charity groups are invited to set up a stall at the event. For more details call Peter Quick on (01905) 770056 or 779759.
