A FORMER Status Quo drummer rocked a Droitwich Spa school to its foundations.
Jeff Rich visited Witton Middle School, in Old Coach Road, for a drumming master class. The rock star set up his equipment in the assembly hall and was joined by 180 students.
He spoke about rhythm and beats before allowing children to try a selection of percussion instruments.
A school spokeswoman said: "He was very clever. Staff and children alike had a great time.
"I think he inspired many of the pupils, without mentioning his rock and roll past once."
