A CHARITY bike ride for the under-12s scrapped due to foot and mouth will now take place on July 7, in conjunction with the Alexandra Hospital's summer fete, writes Becky Procter.
The Heart of Worcestershire junior bike ride, sponsored by the British Heart Foundation, was originally due to be on May 6 in celebration of the foundation's 40th anniversary.
The hospital's League of Friends is hoping to raise £5,000 from the event, which begins at 2pm at the hospital and features the Kingfisher Cadet Band, Redditch Twirlers, Blue and White Rope Skippers and Ju-Jitsu Club.
Anyone interested in helping the League of Friends or donating items can call 512009.
