VITAL improvements are to be carried out to the electricity supply serving Astwood Bank and Feckenham by April 2002, writes Melina Cannon.
Electricity supplier GPU Power UK, which was formerly Midlands Electricity, has confirmed the circuit that supplies power to households in the villages is set to be refurbished this financial year.
Feckenham is also to be moved to a different part of the system in order to make the electricity supply more reliable.
But the company cannot confirm a date for work to start due to factors, including the foot and mouth crisis.
