THE planning rules preventing industrial units in Redditch being used for retail are to be reviewed following a debate by town councillors on Monday.
Councillors refused to grant retrospective planning permission to a bed firm wanting to change the use of an industrial unit in Dunlop Road, Hunt End, to retail use.
It was turned down because the industrial estate is not designed for retail under the Council's Local Plan.
But the plan is being reviewed and council officers have now been asked to include industrial estates in their investigations.
