THE inaugural meeting took place on May 8, when members of the public elected a committee and approved a constitution.
More than 60 people enjoyed discussion of the memorabilia brought along for the occasion. Old photographs were to the fore and the mixed age group represented a wide variety of local history interests.
There is much to be done in researching, collating and publishing material and the enthusiasm displayed was encouraging.
The next meeting is on Thursday, June 12, at 8pm at Studley Parish Centre. All welcome.
