I WAS interested to read your recent article headed "Town hospitals are among the best."

The article suggests these hospitals benefit patients from Bromsgrove and Droitwich. It doesn't give the location of the hospitals.

Since the closure of the NHS hospital in Droitwich about 11 years ago, I have attended a number of NHS trust board meetings in the county and endeavoured to put the case for the great difficulties and expense that patients, especially the elderly from Droitwich, have in getting health care.

They are sent to all corners of the county at their own expense with little concern how they might get there.

I am interested to know the location of the hospitals referred to.

It suggests they benefit the patients from Droitwich. It is obvious the hospital is not in Droitwich for it has none.

If it is referring to the Princess of Wales Comm-unity Hospital in Broms-grove, this is not directly accessible from Droitwich by public transport.

The article states Mr Musgrove is delighted. I would like to hear how accessible he considers health care to be for patients from Droitwich.
