THE Conservative candidate for Redditch handed in her nomination papers on Thursday accompanied by her £500 deposit ... in pound coins.
Karen Lumley said one of the main pledges in her election address was to keep the pound.
"We paid the deposit in pound coins to show the people of Redditch we are the only party interested in keeping the pound."
