REGARDING R A Moore (You Say, May 14), he is wrong and Verity James correct.

Mike Foster's only contribution to the New Hospital was to say that it was quite adequate, when everyone else knew that it was not.

Five-and-half years ago, the Conservatives had declared that the money for it was on the table, but the Labour Council kept objecting to plans.

As soon as Labour had won the election they could not wait to accept plans that turned out to be totally below requirements and which have since been modified constantly.
