JIM Jenner has admitted he "would love" to help Worcester Rugby Club into the Premiership.

The 29-year-old, who is out of contract after being released by Newcastle Falcons, is set to hold talks with Worcester chairman Cecil Duckworth this week about a possible return to Sixways.

And the number eight, who spent three seasons with the Gold'n'Blues before his move to Kingston Park last year, is keen to come back.

He said: "It is a very realistic possibility. I've always had a warm welcome at the club and to be part of a Worcester side who won promotion would be fantastic.

"I would take a huge amount of pride in being involved in a successful promotion campaign.

"I was desperate to win promotion with the club last time I was there and was very disappointed to miss out.

"However, I enjoyed my time at Worcester immensely and have a lot of good friends at the club and in the area."

Jenner, though, is talking to two other clubs as well as Worcester.

Ironically, after losing out on the National One title to Leeds Tykes, Worcester are now facing a battle with the Yorkshire club for Jenner's signature.

He added: "I'm talking to a number of clubs at the moment and it will be a very difficult decision because I was really chuffed with my season in the Premiership at Newcastle - it was a great experience.

"It's a tough call as I have a certain amount of loyalty for Worcester.

"They should be in the Premiership and I would love to help them get there."

Worcester can expect a decision from Jenner in the next week but are prepared to make him the club's top earner in a bid to lure him back to Sixways.
