A FORMER Droitwich Spa High School student is preparing to perform at the London Palladium.
Talented Simon Eggerton, who uses the stage name Simon Heath, is studying at the London School of Musical Theatre. He has scooped a role in a variety show performance on Sunday July 22.
Simon was working as a cabaret singer in Tenerife when he was discovered by two investors.
The 20-year-old has been offered a three-year contract which he expects to sign shortly and he is set to begin working on an album.
The Fernhill Heath resident said: "I can't believe it. I'm concentrating on my course at the moment which has helped me immensely.
"But that finishes in December. From then on there seems to be lots of things happening."
His backers are proposing to give Simon his own touring show and he could even be involved with a TV programme.
