TWO Batchley women have been jailed at Worcester Crown Court after being convicted of assault.
Rebecca Hawthorn, 20, of Hewell Road, and Vicky Hawthorn, 19, of Cardy Close, were sent to prison for one month following an assault on a woman in Redditch town centre last August.
Vicky Hawthorn was jailed for another month for a similar incident against a man.
Pc Neil Lippitt, of Redditch police, said: "These sentences send out a clear message that assaults and acts of public disorder will be thoroughly investigated and the offenders dealt with in a firm manner.
"This is a clear example of the police and courts working together to reduce and deter violent incidents in our area."
