CLARE Eckersley from the Chase School, Malvern, won the Smyth Cup for the second year running when she defeated Sophie Collett in the final.
Clare (pictured right with the trophy) is a member of Manor Park Tennis Club and represents Herefordshire & Worcestershire at both junior and senior level.
The Smyth Cup, which took place at Malvern Girl's College earlier this month is one of the oldest established events in the county calendar and past winners have gone on to international tennis fame.
In the final of the Scott Cup, which took place at the same venue, Philip Mifflin defeated his brother Anthony Mifflin. Both boys attend the Minster School, Hereford.
