Now that summer weather has made its appearance, the question of a few additional seats throughout the town is being discussed. Covered seats and on the commons would afford protection from the glare of the sun and also from wind or rain during inclement weather. Malvern Gazette, May 17, 1901.

William Gladwin of Ledbury appeared to answer the charge. Sgt John Lloyd stated that at 10 minutes to nine pm, he saw defendant driving a four-wheel vehicle in New Town, Ledbury, without any light. This was half an hour after lighting up time. Defendant said it was a pure accident. He had a light, but whilst putting the brake on, it went out. Fined 7s and costs. Malvern's first continental buffet was opened at the Westminster Arms Hotel, West Malvern, last week. The purpose of the innovation is to provide visitors with a cold meal at any time between noon and 11pm. Malvern Gazette, May 18, 1951.

During the winter months, certain members of the Ledbury Cricket Club went to Worcester for indoor practice, and during the course of conversation, a member of the Worcestershire Club promised to get a bat autographed by the members of the South African team, which played there a few weeks ago. Tickets for the bat, which is displayed in The Reporter window, are being sold at sixpence each.

A 15-room extension block at Summerfield School for the Deaf in Worcester Road, Malvern, was opened on Thursday by Mr Martin Rogers, headmaster of Malvern College. Malvern Gazette, May 20, 1976.

Despite the grim realities of a water shortage this summer, Ledbury will receive a better supply next year. This assurance was given by two officials of the Welsh Water Development Authority, who spoke at a public meeting in St Katherine's on Thursday. There would be an improvement early next year, when a new water undertaking in Hereford would be able to boost supplies. Ledbury Reporter, May 20, 1976.
