A POSTMISTRESS from Malvern Wells was assaulted in her own shop.
Just before 12.30pm on Wednesday, six men, two women and a child entered the shop and tried to distract staff.
When challenged, one of them assaulted the postmistress in a bid to escape. All nine left in a gold-colour car, possibly a Mercedes, and made off in the direction of the Three Counties Showground.
They are described as having dark hair, dark skin and possibly of Middle Eastern origin. The postmistress was shocked but declined medical treatment.
