OUTRAGED residents on a Kidderminster estate will discover tonight (Thursday) whether the green light is given to a proposed housing scheme which they say will rob the area of a vital play space.

Members of Wyre Forest District Council's planning (development control) committee have been recommended to approve proposals from Prowting Homes to build 162 houses on Kidderminster College land in Aggborough.

Dozens of residents have voiced their anger at the plans to build the homes on three acres of quarry land off Hoo Road, where people regularly walk their dogs and youngsters play.

The college is set to move to a new site in Market Street.
