SAILING: Trimpley Sailing Club's Sunday Spring Series continued in perfect weather with Roger Stretton and Jeff Halford battling out a close contest.
In the Noon Single Handed Race for GP14s, Roger Stretton was pipped to the post by Norman Quarry.
Simon Fletcher and crew Ian Davis held off Mick James and crew Debbie Tissiman in light winds in the March Hare Handicap,
The first GP14 race in the Sunday Spring Series in variable winds saw Phil Quarry and Sophie Tissiman beat Fletcher and Ian Davis.
In the Laser class, Eddie Hillman beat Tom Jeffs and Stretton with crew Jon Corrigan, sailing for the first time, beat Quarry and Tissiman .
Mike Jeffs beat Hillman in the Laser class following the latter's need to answer a call of nature midway through the race.
On Monday, the May Pursuit races were keenly contested with seven Lasers and seven GP14s on the water in warm sunshine with variable and gusty winds.
