A beautiful piece of Alcester's history is now back in the hands of its original owners.
The town's mayoress/consort chain of office is now back in the hands of Alcester Town Council after it was returned by Stratford District Council.
On Wednesday, April 25, the chairman of the district council put forward a motion to finally return the chain to Alcester, which was approved by councillors.
