MYLES O'Meally from Bromsgrove Tennis Club was a member of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire winning team in Division Five of the LTA's National Inter-County under-13 competition held last weekend in Yorkshire.
O'Meally from Redditch, who plays at Bromsgrove Tennis Club was praised by team coach Daniel Thorp for his standard of play, competitive attitude and professional approach. Daniel thought that this was a good indication that the county training programme, under performance coach Marc Kalkman, was starting to bear fruit.
The team had victories over Derbyshire 6-0, North Wales 5-1 and Bedfordshire 4-2 to win the division with a 100 per cent record, thus gaining promotion.
All the players had wins over the three days, including some against older and higher rated players.
