HAVING recently moved to the area, I find myself more and more astounded with the attitudes of ordinary people, councillors and action groups. I am, of course, referring to the proposed Studley bypass.

My annoyance is mainly due to the fact that people in Studley and members of certain action groups have a similar attitude to dumping waste - as long as it's not on my own doorstep, I don't care where it goes.

If Studley needs a bypass, then why not put it to the east of Studley and not on the doorstep of Redditch people to the west? The effect of such a bypass on Redditch homes would be devastating, with issues including house prices dropping and pollution.

The way the whole bypass issue has been handled seems to mean Redditch people were the last to know and the last to be considered.

Remember we are talking about ordinary people's lives being greatly affected by the actions of others with the philosophy of ''out of sight out of mind''.
