KIDDERMINSTER firefighters have warned of potentially disastrous consequences if "idiotic" arsonists continue to set fire to wheelie bins.

The latest incident came on Tuesday at 8.35pm when a bin full of rubbish was set alight outside St John's Church in Kidderminster.

A spokesman for the town's fire brigade urged those responsible to cut out their behaviour before somebody was injured in a serious incident, such as the recent damaging fire at the One-Stop Dillons store in Stourport Road, which started in similar consequences.

He also urged businesses with wheelie bins outside their premises to empty them at the end of the day or arrange for refuse to be collected.
