New jobs could be created at Tesco in Oakenshaw following an announcement yesterday the company was to refit stores across the country.
A spokesman could not confirm how many jobs would be created but said some of the refitted stores could bring up to 100 extra jobs.
About 140 staff lost their jobs at Christmas when the company's Kingfisher Centre store was closed.
A Tesco spokesman said: "It's good news for customers and for Redditch."
