SURELY Mrs C Hopkins' letter was a bad April Fool's joke (Advertiser, April 4).
Perhaps she needs reminding that since this Government came to power there are now fewer police officers, there is more violent crime, the number of asylum seekers has doubled, education spending in Worcestershire is bottom of the league, our roads are in the worst state of repair in living memory, litter in our town centre is a disgrace and council tax has increased by much more than inflation.
It is also strange how our MP has a high local profile now that an election is imminent.
How the voters of Redditch must look enviously at our neighbours in Bromsgrove where there is an MP who actually gets things done for her constituents rather than just toeing the party line.
