SEAN Gleeson, who became known to millions as the loveable Irish rogue Conor Flaherty in Eastenders, plays Macbeth in a new production at the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham.
The theatre's ReachOut department, committed to community and education, is staging the classic Shakespeare tragedy from March 6 to 10.
Directed by the Everyman's artistic director Sue Colverd, the actors take a physical approach, using props such as sticks, nets and a 30ft square of silk with lighting and special effects to convey the impression of a primal, yet intelligent world.
There will be special concessions for schools, teacher packs, a workshop and post-show discussions.
Schools should contact Morag Vockins on 01242 512515, extension 255. Box office: 01242 572573.
