Nature reserves in Herefordshire and Worcester-shire have been declared off limit in an attempt to combat the spread of foot and mouth.
Herefordshire Nature Trust has closed all 48 of its reserves for seven days, cancelling all surveys and work in the countryside.
Worcestershire Wildlife Trust is asking the public to stay off its reserves until the spread of the disease is contained
A volunteer day planned for St Wulstan's Nature Reserve on Sunday as been postponed and the reserve closed.
